Adopt-a-Family Update

For our sixth year, Hillside participated in the Adopt-a-Family program through the YWCA Seattle | King | Snohomish. We sponsored two families, and we asked you to contribute. You stepped up! Thanks to all of you, we exceeded our goal, and we were able to help four children have a merry Christmas. Thank you!

Our annual Adopt-a-Family tradition lives on.

We have been so fortunate at Hillside, and it means a lot to us to support those who haven’t been as fortunate. For our sixth year, Hillside is participating in the Adopt-a-Family program through the YWCA Seattle | King | Snohomish.

The YWCA’s Adopt-a-Family program helps families in need who are trying to get back on their feet. The families who sign up to receive holiday assistance are current YWCA clients. Some are living in their shelters, fleeing domestic violence, or in young parent units. Some are in transitional housing, and housing for Veterans with PTSD. All of these families are on the road to self-sufficiency and are receiving assistance with job training, housing, counseling, and other services. They are working hard to improve their lives!

This year, we have been given the opportunity to support a family of six. Through this program, each child will receive at least two holiday gifts, and the parents will receive a grocery store gift card.

Help us help a family.

Our family, the Baldwins, include four children.

  • 12-year-old boy
  • 10-year-old girl
  • 3-year-old boy
  • 9-month-old girl

We need your help!

Our goal is to raise a minimum of $600 from our Hillside family to help this family during the holidays. Hillside will also contribute some matching funds. We want the holidays to be wonderful for our adopted family.

To help us reach our goal, please consider donating some cash at Hillside. We will collect all the donations, purchase the gifts and gift cards, and deliver everything to the YWCA, so we need your donations by December 7. If you have any questions or would like to contribute, ask your bartender.

Thank you!
