Origin Story
In 2012, Sean McAteer got tired of working for the man, and decided to follow the American Dream of giving up his vacation and health insurance to run his own business. And thus, Hillside Bar was born.
Hillside Bar opened its doors on Capitol Hill on December 8, 2012. It quickly became a favorite neighborhood hangout for locals who just want to, well, hang out.
Hillside is a come-as-you-are kind of place. So come, as you are, and have a drink.
