Came in a very bad mood that was not only alleviated but graced with a decent whisky selection, the good company of fellow patrons and the antics of the bartender of I dubbed "Squirrel" but I believe her name was Sophie. all in all a very solid bar not only for cap hill but for Seattle in general.

Great place. East coast vibes and atmosphere where the seattle freeze is just a myth. Drinks are poured great and everyone is so friendly and open to talking.

I live right around the corner from this place, and I didn't really go in much when they first opened, but lately the Hillside has been growing on me big time. Great layout, relaxing atmosphere, friendly bartenders who will take the time to chat with you, and cool regulars who will strike up a conversation with a stranger. I'm a fan.
